In the next couple of weeks we will be creating blogs to display your hard work and commitment.
Today, we are going to look at the ELEMENTS of ART.

Andy Goldsworthy

"The underlying tension of a lot of my art is to try and look through the surface appearance of things. Inevitably, one way of getting beneath the surface is to introduce a hole, a window into what lies below."

Andy Goldsworthy1956 -
Andy Goldsworthy is a brilliant British artist who collaborates with nature to make his creations. Besides England and Scotland, his work has been created at the North Pole, in Japan, the Australian Outback, in the U.S. and many others
Goldsworthy regards his creations as transient, or ephemeral. He photographs each piece once right after he makes it. His goal is to understand nature by directly participating in nature as intimately as he can. He generally works with whatever comes to hand: twigs, leaves, stones, snow and ice, reeds and thorns.

Today we will explore the element LINE

We are going to play a game titled: GALACTICA
For this game, you need to have 6 players.
Three different creatures live in Galactica:
-Linezos
-Amorphs
-Zots

All creatures will contribute to a Zenograph
-Linezos: express themselves by making ONLY line designs or shapes using LINE only
-Amporphs: express themselves by making ONLY amorpheous rebellious shapes with round or softe edges
-Zots: express themselves by making only dots and dot patterns.

ONLY ABSTRACT PATTERNS ARE USED IN THE DESIGNS, GALACTIC creatures DO NOT use representational images.

How to play:
Pair up and make a group of six. So that there are two each of linezos, amorphs and zots.
Each group makes a plan divide the large paper into small squares like a grid.

TOOLS:
Linexos use felt pens
Amorphs use pastels
Zinos use paint

Each group can ONLY work when it hears music. Work until the mural is complete.
